Introduction

Welcome to this special edition of the ConsultingRoom.com Magazine for March 2026.

This month, instead of our usual content, we have compiled one of the biggest collective insight reports I think the industry has ever seen, with contributions from companies, associations, training providers and conference organisers.

I have been in aesthetics since 2005, and, over the years, we’ve witnessed so much fast-paced innovation from the technologies available to the techniques that deliver them and optimise results. Aesthetics has always been an exciting market to work in. But what struck me most as I read through all the submissions we got for this issue’s industry insights report was that it wasn’t about trendy new products or treatments as we move into 2026; what people were predicting across the board was a real shift in the sector around standards and professionalism.

At the same time, technology is moving from experimentation to integration. AI is being embedded into patient communication, documentation, triage and performance tracking. We used it here to analyse all the entries we got from across the sector and identify key themes and trends.

Yet contributors are united on one point: artificial intelligence must enhance – not replace – medical judgement. Human expertise remains irreplaceable.

What stood out most to me from this report is that we are a sector that is tightening its standards, refining its identity and positioning itself more clearly as part of the long-term health picture. As themes like healthspan and longevity come to the fore, this makes clinical and commercial sense.

I really hope you enjoy reading what our industry has to say as much as I did – welcome to The Consulting Room 2026 Industry Trends Report.
