A new holistic wellbeing treatment, the Meno Massage Method™, has been launched for beauty and wellness salons worldwide. Developed by award-winning nutritionist and aesthetician Alison Bladh, the treatment is designed to support women through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.
About the Meno Massage Method™
Alison Bladh, a CIDESCO-qualified aesthetician and international beauty educator, has combined over 30 years of experience in women’s skin health to create the Meno Massage Method™. The approach blends specialised massage techniques, nervous system support, breathwork, reflex-inspired touch, nutrition guidance, and lifestyle medicine.
“After spending more than thirty years working with women 40 plus, I kept seeing the same story unfold,” said Alison Bladh.
“So many were struggling with fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep, stubborn weight gain and changes in their skin. They needed more than a traditional spa treatment – they needed something that recognised what was actually happening inside their bodies during perimenopause and menopause. This is why I created the Meno Massage Method™.”
The treatment has been trialled with beauty therapy students for six months and previewed at Cosmoprof Bologna. Alison has now developed a certification programme so that beauty therapists can offer the method in their salons and spas.
How the Treatment Works
The Meno Massage Method™ is built around three main pillars:
Mind and Body Reset – Specialised massage treatments are offered in 90-minute and 60-minute full-body sessions, with targeted 30-minute sessions for back/neck/shoulders, abdomen, or face/décolletage.
Nutritional Support – Guidance on menopause-specific nutrition to support overall wellbeing.
Lifestyle Medicine – Strategies aimed at relieving menopausal symptoms and supporting mental and physical health.
“What sets this training apart is its comprehensive approach. Beauty therapists learn not just massage techniques, but gain a deep understanding of hormonal changes and how shifts in oestrogen, progesterone and cortisol affect energy, skin, mood and overall wellbeing,” Alison explained.
“Each certified therapist receives ready-to-use client materials, including Lifestyle Wellness Cards and 10 complimentary copies of my book to gift to their first clients after their treatment.”
Feedback from Clients and Therapists
Early responses from women who have experienced the Meno Massage have been positive, with clients noting improvements in sleep, reduced tension, and better mood balance.
“I finally felt someone understood what I was going through,” shared one client.
“The massage was deeply relaxing, but it also gave me a sense of emotional reset that I didn't expect.”
Therapists offering the method report that clients are returning for repeated treatments, citing benefits such as easing tension and alleviating the “wired and tired” feeling commonly experienced during menopause.
