GetHarley Hosts Its First-Ever GetHarley Getaway

GetHarley is a digital platform and product service designed to make selling skincare easy and pleasurable, whilst prompting repeat purchases.

On the 14th & 15th of October, GetHarley hosted over 100 practitioners at the glorious Oakley Court in Windsor, providing a fun-packed agenda designed to inspire, motivate, and energise its community. Oakley Court is a luxury hotel inside a stunning Victorian mansion house set within 35 acres of the English countryside, by the banks of the River Thames. GetHarley chose this destination to provide a tranquil haven for its guests to relax and recharge, not too far from London, where many reside.

GetHarley greeted guests with a branded coffee cart and refreshments before the day began with a warm welcome by founder and CEO, Charmaine Chow, and an insightful film showcasing GetHarley’s milestones to date and the mission for the future. This was followed by a Fireside Chat all about building a thriving business, featuring speakers Georgia Stevenson (Index Ventures – the venture capital firm, known for its investments in FarFetch, Glossier, Net A Porter, and now GetHarley), Anastasya Molodykh-McFarlane (Cinven – Private Equity), Andrew Robb (ex COO-Farfetch), and Chow. This was built into the agenda to help practitioners navigate the business side of their world, something that GetHarley knew its clinicians were interested in learning more about.

The following session featured a panel discussion about entrepreneurial journeys with Chow and female founders – Michelle Kennedy (Peanut– an app for women to connect with women throughout every stage of their lives from pregnancy to menopause) and Whitney Hawkings, founder of FLOWERBX, an at-home, floral delivery service. Their stories resonated with the crowd who nodded frequently and asked all the right questions. There was considerable notetaking too.

After a delicious, seasonal lunch of pumpkin soup, pasta, and wedge sandwiches that allowed guests to connect with their peers, talk to brand sponsors – Revision, PCA SKIN, Epionce, Intradermology, and Byonik, or simply reflect on the talks they had heard, team members from GetHarley dived deeper into the GetHarley service via an informative presentation. This also featured guest practitioners Dr Sophie Shotter, Dr Amiee Vyas, and Dr Nester Demosthenous giving the audience details of their journeys with GetHarley.

Demosthenous, new to GetHarley, showcased his positive experience working with the team and his increase in sales in as little as 4 months while founding members Vyas and Shotter both talked about how they partner with GetHarley to service their patients better, while also making incremental sales. Vyas has now famously hit a million pounds in sales!

The late afternoon was packed with tennis (featuring GetHarley branded balls), swimming, cycling, and more, as guests chose to spend their time as they pleased before the uber glamorous black-tie dinner that took place outside in the Alex Eagle Club where guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal under a canopy of lights.

After Hours took place back at the country house with a saxophonist leading the way and playing (and DJing) all night long. Guests danced while sipping on delicious cocktails before retiring to their rooms when their feet could no longer take any more.

The following day began with a beautiful buffet breakfast and then, for those with a clear head, it was back down to the Alex Eagle club for pilates with Bryony Deery – a famous pilates instructor loved by many guests.

The weekend concluded with a delicious lunch before many guests left together on a coach back to London. Following the retreat, clinicians reported having had a wonderful weekend of relaxation and inspiration, while connecting with old friends and making new acquaintances.

Following the success of this very first-weekend retreat, team GetHarley now looks forward to organising the GetHarley Getaway 2024:

“We wanted to create a weekend that would bring our community together in a fun and useful way. We know our clinicians are time-poor, we know that family time is precious, so scheduling talks to inspire and educate while providing much-needed R&R was our gift to them. Being able to spend quality time with our community was very special, and we very much look forward to doing it again next year.”
Charmaine Chow, CEO & Founder of GetHarley
