S-Thetics is a state-of-the-art medical aesthetic clinic located in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town in Buckinghamshire specialising in advanced non-surgical treatments for the face and body.
Founded by surgeon and cosmetic doctor, Miss Sherina Balaratnam, we specialise in the latest scientifically based skin and medical aesthetic treatments and offer a broad range of treatments within our menu – from advanced skincare products and facial treatments, to cosmetic injectables and non-surgical skin rejuvenation using medical grade technology.
I truly believe a detailed consultation is essential in understanding my patients’ needs. It is important to have a detailed clinical assessment of skin and facial structure and balance in order to understand the steps required to achieve good results. My goal is to help my patients achieve and enjoy natural-looking results in a safe way.
Miss Sherina Balaratnam is a fully-qualified surgeon with extensive plastic surgical training.
She has devoted the last eight years of her medical career to specialising in the latest non-surgical cosmetic treatment innovations.
Her subtle and highly personalised approach to facial rejuvenation has seen her treat over 5,000 patients and earned her a place as one of the UK’s leading non-surgical cosmetic specialists.
She is well known for her gentle bedside manner and natural- looking results.
Central to my ethos is the safety of our treatments, ensuring patients are given the best care throughout their treatment as well as an efficient aftercare service. I strongly emphasise the importance of education; for both patients and the public to be fully informed about the latest advances in non-surgical treatments for facial and body rejuvenation.
Prior to my current focus of aesthetic medicine, my 14-year surgical career encompassed a broad range of clinical specialties. During this time I trained in plastic surgery for 7 years mainly covering reconstructive burn surgery and skin cancer reconstruction. This led me to develop an interest in scar management and an ideal aesthetic outcome which resonates in my work in aesthetic medicine today.
I’m proud to hold the prestigious title of “Local Country Ambassador (LCA) for Allergan.
As one of only a handful of expert UK practitioners selected as an LCA, I regularly train and mentor other health care professionals in non-surgical cosmetic rejuvenation treatments and injection techniques and I am actively involved in training programmes both within the UK as well as internationally.
Aesthetic medicine continues to evolve at pace, with newer, less invasive technologies and treatments. I place a strong emphasis on my own knowledge and skills so I can continue to develop my practice and patient outcomes. My work has been published in several peer-reviewed medical journals and I have delivered presentations at international clinical conferences.
One of our friendly advisors will contact you to answer any questions you have about S-Thetics.

I recently experienced a PRP facial treatment with Cheryl and have been thrilled with the results. My skin feels in the best condition i have ever experienced and i’m now i’m my 40’s. Cheryl carried out the treatment with care and a light touch, meaning the treatment was pain free with no down time. The condition, look and texture of my skin is glowing. Thank you to the fantastic team at S-Thetics.
I have just gone through a course of EndyMed skin tightening treatment with S-Thetics clinic in Beaconsfield and couldn’t be more delighted with the results! After having a consultation with Miss Sherina Balaratnam about the non invasive treatment options, I decided to undergo the 6 treatments of EndyMed. The treatment lasts 1.5 hrs per session and feels similar to a hot stone massage. Concentrating on the chin/jaw, cheeks and eye area. Before starting the course we took images of my face and skin to have a clear comparison at the end of the course of treatments. I was absolutely blown away by the results and felt like I was looking at an image of myself 10 years younger. My face looked youthful, more defined, plump and healthy. For anyone looking for a non invasive treatment to roll back the years, I can’t recommend this treatment or clinic enough. It’s clear that fantastic results only come from putting yourself in the hands of fantastic practitioners.
