10 years ago, my wife had a nasty reaction to the bio alcamid filler that she had in one of her cheeks, ended up in hospital where the infection was surgically drained and has been left with an asymmetrical face due to the filler that is still in her other cheek. Do you know of any private specialists in the north west England that specialises in removing this filler, with the possibility of replacing this it with a fat transfer?

Thank you for.your query.
Bio alcamid is a gel which was used to volumise and restructure the face, but was found to cause problems after implantation
The only way to remove the.product is surgically, and.fat transfer may be.a viable option to replace the volume.lost from removal.
As a nurse, I do not offer cosmetic surgery procedures such as these, but I would recommend that you research a reputable surgeon via the BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) website.
I hope you find a resolution there to your wife's problem.
