Answer: Hello Vivian
I have a years of experience treating oral-facial pain.
It depends on the cause of your trigeminal neuralgia if Botox will help to reduce or stop the pain.
A full examination of skeletal function is carried out at consultation along with history of your pain and any underlying medical conditions.
Then your options are discussed so you can make an informed decision.
Many patients travel to see me so it would be wise to book a consultation followed by treatment, there can be several visits in order to get the best pain relief.
Kind regards

Answer: Hello Vivian,
Thank you for your query. Botox can help with trigeminal neuralgia, when injected into specific points such as the maxillary and mandibular roots. This has been shown to reduce the severity of symptoms.
This treatment should only be carried out by a medical practitioner, preferably one registered with CQC.
I'm not registered yet, but I can signpost you to clinics that are, depending on your location. Please let me know if you'd like this information.
Regards
Tawa Dowling

Answer: Good afternoon,
Thank you for getting in touch.
I have checked with one of our practitioners and Botox can help with this however it should be done by a neurologist. If you have any further questions please let us know.
Kind Regards,

Answer: There have been reports that the use of fine doses of Botox into the effected dermatome has helped. However I wouldn’t jump in with that as a medical professional.
What I would certainly suggest is medical cannabis because I treat people very successfully with it (it’s not always about smoking it). I know how frustrated trigeminal neuralgia patients are and I can still help but via my clinic at Medicann Jersey.

Answer: Hi Vivian. Thanks for your enquiry. Yes Botox can help however it is imperative that you seek advice with a dentist first. There may be other reasons related to the teeth that need to be looked at ahead of a treatment - I hope this helps
