Introduction

As I write this introduction, we find ourselves as an aesthetic community, and as a nation in the midst a global pandemic. The rapid spread across the world of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has had an impact that none of us could have imagined and leaves many aesthetic businesses in a difficult and uncertain position; something which started with falling patient numbers and appointment cancellations has (as we write) now turned into complete lockdown, with an uncertain future for all of us for the rest of the year. Many doctors, dentists and nurses are also volunteering to return to frontline NHS services, wherever the need arises, despite many years away from primary care. Your British spirit in a crisis is to be commended, and we support all of you. In this issue, we are focusing on dermatological skin concerns with a look at acne and rosacea. Lorna Jackson | Editor
