Mr. Mark Ho-Asjoe, Consultant Plastic Surgeon

Mr Alex Karidis is one of London’s most in-demand plastic surgeons and it was important for us to be able to offer prospective patients the option of another trusted cosmetic surgeon, capable of producing the naturally beautiful results that are the hallmark of the Karidis Clinic.

With over 25 years’ plastic surgery experience, Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Mark Ho-Asjoe, MB.Bch, FRCS FRCS(Plast), has worked with our medical director Mr Alex Karidis for many years and is the only other cosmetic surgeon Mr Karidis would trust his patients to.

Mark graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and underwent his surgical training in the UK. After obtaining the gold medal in primary FRCS and completing basic surgical training, Mark began his specialist training in plastic surgery both in the UK and abroad, namely the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, which is a world-renowned microsurgical reconstructive centre. He also completed clinical research into wound healing and burns and was an Honorary Lecturer in plastic surgery at the Queen Mary University Hospital in Hong Kong.

He completed his aesthetic fellowship at the Wellington Hospital in London and has been in private practice in the capital since 2003. His main NHS practice is at St Thomas’ Hospital. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS), and British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), International Society of Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS) and is on the Specialist Registrar for Plastic Surgery of the General Medical Council.

Mark has been an examiner for the Diploma of Aesthetics Plastic Surgery for many years and he regularly lectures in the UK and Europe, particularly in relation to his reconstructive breast surgery work. Over the years, he has been interviewed for a number of press articles on the subject of plastic and reconstructive surgery and regularly contributes to peer-reviewed journals.
