Biography & Background
Zoe Myers is an aesthetician and clinic owner with over 14 years of experience in the aesthetic industry, and the founder and director of Authentic Aesthetics in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Her interest in skin began in her teenage years, when she struggled with freckles and hormonal acne and coated her face in layers of foundation to cover them, which only compounded the problem. Knowing from an early age that she wanted to work in beauty, she began her foundational training at Rugby College and took a weekend reception role at a local beauty salon whilst completing her NVQ Level 3 in beauty therapy. At 17, she was taken on part-time at Medizen, a leading medical aesthetic clinic in Birmingham, where she handled reception duties while being trained on an extensive range of aesthetic devices. At the age of twenty, she self-funded a BTEC Level 4 in Clinical Aesthetics alongside her work at the clinic, and at twenty-two, she was ready for a new challenge.
She joined HydraFacial UK, where she spent approximately three years as a customer experience specialist and trainer, travelling across the country to help clinics promote HydraFacial, deliver training, run client events, sell capital equipment, and provide business development support to clinics looking to grow. This combination of hands-on clinical practice, client-facing education, and business development across the UK aesthetic sector gave her a distinctly broad perspective on what excellent skin health care looks like in practice. In May 2019, she channelled that experience into founding Authentic Aesthetics, opening the clinic in a single treatment room in Kenilworth with a clear philosophy: not just to perform treatments, but also to educate clients on how their skin works so they can have complete confidence in every recommendation.
Authentic Aesthetics has grown significantly since its inception, expanding to two treatment rooms with a team of three aestheticians. The clinic specialises in clinically proven, results-driven treatments for acne, rosacea, pigmentation, ageing, scarring, and dull or dehydrated skin. Zoe has been a consistent voice on sustainability in the aesthetics industry, contributing a featured article on going green in clinical practice to Aesthetic Medicine magazine in June 2022, in which she outlined practical steps for reducing waste, including going paperless, switching to recycled consumables, and working with the Green Salon Collective. She has also been cited as a Consulting Room adviser, with the platform noting her expertise in skin health and non-injectable treatments. She lives in Leamington Spa and is known within the industry for an approach rooted in education and evidence.
Zoe currently leads the team at Authentic Aesthetics from the clinic's premises at Bank Gallery, 13 High Street, Kenilworth, CV8 1LY, combining active client-facing treatment work with a broader commitment to raising standards across the aesthetics sector. The clinic holds a five-star rating across multiple review platforms and has been widely recognised at industry awards level. Zoe's stated mission is to give every client total skin confidence - the ability to feel comfortable and authentic in their own skin without covering it up.
