Dr David Eccleston developed an interest in Cosmetic Dermatology in 1993.

He specialises, and has over 18 years experience, in the use of Lasers, Botox, HA fillers and other aesthetic procedures. He is Clinical Director of MediZen, a successful specialised non-surgical medical aesthetic clinic established in 1999, located in the Midlands and voted "Medical Aesthetic Clinic of the Year" in the 2008 Aesthetic Medicine Awards.

He has received personal training from Dr Jean Carruthers, the doctor credited with first identifying the potential for Botox® as an aesthetic treatment in Canada in the late 1980’s, has been appointed as a trainer within the faculty of the Allergan Medical Institute, and is a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine. He is a member of advisory boards for several major aesthetic companies

David is one of the few medical practitioners in the UK to have undertaken pre-licensing clinical trials on the use of Botulinum toxin. He has also undertaken clinical trial work on a number of other aesthetic procedures including the world's first study on the use of Vavelta (allogeneic fibroblasts) for acne scarring, and on various dermal fillers.

MediZen also run an industry training centre, and Dr Eccleston has personally trained over 2000 Doctors on injection technique in the use of Botox® for cosmetic purposes and for excessive sweating, and the use of dermal fillers for facial sculpting.

He has a reputation for being an entertaining speaker and has lectured frequently on the subject of aesthetic medicine in both the UK and abroad. Dr Eccleston has appeared in many magazine articles and several television and radio interviews on the subject of non-surgical medical aesthetics.
