Improve stretch marks

Stretch marks, known medically as striae, can affect both men and women, although they are considered more common in women as they are often caused during pregnancy. Striae show as lines or streaks on the skin which start off as red or purple marks, turning white over time as they age and heal. They can be tender to the touch, even after some years and can also have a slightly raised or sunken appearance depending on their age. Stretch marks occur when the inner skin layer, below the surface is stretched to the point where it weakens and loses its elasticity. They can happen with rapid weight gain or obesity, through body-building, or puberty and growth as seen in upper legs and thighs, abdomen or backs with teenagers and adolescents, as well as in the abdomen, hips and breasts during pregnancy.
