Question: Thermavein

I had thermavein done 4 weeks ago around my nose and on my chin. I have olive skin. I wish I hadn't had it done. I have visible marks that look like where the veins were are brown marks. They look like scarring. I was told it doesn't scar as that was my fear in the first place. The scarring looks like dots aswell as cat scratches but thicker. I am told that it takes 6 weeks to recover. Can you please tell me if I can scar with thermavein? And I was told it will resolve in 4 weeks now I'm being told it will take 6 weeks. I have sensitivity around my nose now constantly along with redness. It looks unsightly and I feel sad that I wasn't informed about the risks of scarring.
I look after my skin and really don't need to use makeup often. However I've been using makeup ever since to hide the marks. As the area isn't smooth there is texture and cut like slits the makeup sits in it. Please can you tell me how I can get this resolved.

Thank you for getting in touch and sorry you are experiencing some side effects from thermavein.

Scarring is a possibility with this treatment, however, it does take a little while for treatment to settle also, we would suggest to go back to the practitioner who performed the treatment to discuss further.

Firstly sorry to hear this has happened to you. Can i check, did you have treatment here with us or somewhere else?

Helen, our head aesthetician is best placed to answer this as she uses the Thermavein machine on a regular basis. She is on annual leave today but i can get this answered correctly tomorrow for you.
