Dr Christos Angelis

Gold Angels Medical Aesthetics

Answer: Good morning,

We can offer Mole Removal with one of our doctors to remove benign moles only (we do require that it is checked by your GP first).
The Doctor will examine the mole and discuss the recommended procedure and cost, recovery and outcome.
If you chose to proceed the procedure usually takes around 30mins and we use a method called PlexR.

The cost of the procedure depends on the size of the mole and starts from £250 for non-surgical removal (PlexR)

The cost to surgically remove starts at £450 without histology.

Histology is £250

Please let us know if you would like to have a 10 minuet consultation with one of out doctors who can advise you on the best treatment option

Kind regards

Gold Medical

Dr Fatima Ahmed

rtwskin

13th June 2024

Answer: Thank you for your email enquiry.

We are an advanced skin care clinic where we specialise in lesion and mole removal. Our Doctor Fatima Ahmed who specialises in dermatology would see you for a consultation first, during which she will thoroughly assess the mole, offer a test patch with the laser used and give you advice regarding removal. It may be necessary to offer a biopsy if there is any concern regarding a mole before removal, always ensuring your safety is our priority. This is a service we offer in the clinic. The sample is then sent to the Nuffield Hospital for a full histopathology report.

Mole Removal is becoming a popular procedure because the NHS has reduced the amount of procedures they will carry out. Laser removal is a safe and effective procedure that is quick with fantastic results and with minimal, if any, scarring. A local anaesthetic will be administered prior to removal, making your appointment painless. We can then remove your mole quickly and accurately with our Er. Yag Laser. A small white mark is all that is usually left but a small scar may result. Generally, the area is left unmarked and clear within about two weeks.

The costs are as follows:
Consultation: £175.00 (£50 deposit payable upon booking)
Consultation under 18 £120.00 (£50 deposit payable upon booking)
Biopsy (if needed): from £250
Removal: from £350
Please note that a personal quote will be given to you at consultation.

Dr Fatima’s working hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday’s 9am – 4:30pm

If you have any further questions or would like to book in your consultation, please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to help.

I look forward to hearing from you.
