Owner Tawa Dowling

TD Aesthetics

13th February 2023

Answer: Hello Miglena, and thank you for your enquiry.

There are various treatments that would improve the resilience, elasticity and lost volume in the skin, which would smooth out smile lines. These include dermal fillers, skin boosters, and micro needling. For droopy eyelids, treatment with botox can be used to slightly lift the area, thus reducing the appearance of the droopy eyelid.

The first step is to book a consultation so you can have a comprehensive assessment and discussion of the options. You can do this via the TD Aesthetics clinic profile on the Consulting Room Directory.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Warm regards

Tawa Dowling

Thank you for your question. The best advice will be to offer a face-to-face consultation as every treatment plan is tailored to individual needs. In general, we offer dermal fillers and PlexR and on occasionally Botulinum toxin injections. Please let us know if you would like to come in for a consultation as we will be happy to see you.

Answer: Nasolabial folds, the deep smile lines from nose to mouth, can develop when the cheek bone and temples lose volume as a result of ageing, weight loss, smoking, or sun damage, allowing gravity to pull the underlying structure of skin down and create folds and wrinkles.
Dermal fillers can restore lost volume in this way and hyaluronic acid helps to restore moisture to make skin looks more hydrated.
Both fillers and botulinum toxin type A can lift a drooping upper eyelid. Without physically examining you, it is difficult to recommend a course of treatment. It would be good to see you in consultation so that an appropriate treatment plan for you can be offered.

Best Wishes

Dr Prerna Mittal

Answer: Hi Miglena,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Firstly, I would like to invite you to visit us for a complimentary consultation. One of our highly trained medical practitioners will take time to get to know you and what you would like to achieve from your procedure. It is then that she can advise you which dermal filler will help give you the desired effect. If you decide to go ahead with your procedure, Emla cream will be applied which will help to numb the area allowing for a more comfortable experience. All our dermal fillers are from Allergan, a highly regarded global health care company. A summary of our dermal fillers is as follows:

Juvederm Smile – This has a very light gel consistency for the lips and fine lines around the mouth. This is highly recommended for patients new to dermal fillers as the product can be used in a very small amount of 0.55ml.
Juvederm Volbella – This also has a very light gel consistency for the lips.
Juvederm Volift – This gel is of slightly thicker consistency, used mainly for the nasolabial lines (nose to mouth), jowl lift and chin enhancement.
Juvederm Voluma – This gel is of thicker consistency which is used for cheek enhancement.
MaiLi® is a new type of dermal filler, launched in the UK in 2021. It offers a portfolio of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers – Precise, Define, Volume and Extreme. Each product provides its own benefits for rejuvenation using a variety of concentration and structure.
MaiLi® lifts, plumps, and smooths away the signs of ageing, as well shaping and sculpting specific areas of the face. MaiLi® is unique in its spring-like gel consistency, designed to move naturally with your own movement and expression. Results are promised to last 12 months, including lip enhancement.
MaiLi® Precise – lip enhancement for a ‘natural’ look, fine lines, medium size skin depressions, upper lip lines, fine lines around the eyes and marionette lines.
MaiLi® Define – nasolabial lines, lip volumisation, and marionette lines.
MaiLi® Volume – deep skin depressions and folds, facial cheeks, and chin enhancement.
MaiLi® Extreme – facial volume restoration and facial contouring.
All our dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid which is found naturally in the skin and unfortunately as we age this is what decreases - our skin becomes drier and loses volume. Hyaluronic acid absorbs moisture and keeps your skin well hydrated for a more youthful look. The gel is injected under the skin using an ultra-fine needle, filling lines and wrinkles and adding subtle volume. Depending upon which product is used the results can last up to 18 months.

Answer: Many thanks for your message. We offer free consultations where Amanda can properly asses you and give you a more accurate treatment plan.
For around your eyes we would treat that with Botox in a lifting pattern to help with the droop. For around your mouth we would treat this with filler, the cost would depend on the filler used, cost for the filler would be £350 to £450 depending which one was needed.

Answer: Hello, thank you for your enquiry. It is difficult to say without seeing you face to face or pictures. You can use botulinum toxin to reduce the muscle action of the muscles that may be causing the wrinkles. Botulinum toxin is active for up to 3 months.

You can also have dermal filler to improve lost volume in the face which could be causing the lines/wrinkles. Or skin boosters to improve the skin texture. There are also other interventions such as lasers to tighten the skin.

Answer: Hello Miglena,

First of your treatment needs can only be better assessed by. Seeing the area of your face you are interesting in dealing with . This could be either through a face to face consultation or photographically . In my opinion a face to face is always best The approach I would use will depend on various factors , for example depth of lines , their dynamic nature , texture of the skin , Your short and long term goals etc. At my clinic the procedures I use are : wrinkle relaxing treatment , Dermal fillers , collagen induction therapy , chemical peels and topical preparations . Procedures can be done as a stand alone or as combination therapy . As mentioned , my approach is individualistic so an assessment is always necessary to be able to tell you what is likely to work in your case .

I. Hope this is helpful. Please feel free to contact us through our profile as per consulting room,

Dr Afong

Skin Therapist Jen Adams

Answer: Hello, my advice is Micro needling as it treats the whole skin for deep wrinkles and lose skin.

I am able to treat the top lip and eyes lips, plus you also improve your overall skin health and get to the root cause of the problem.

It’s a minimum of 3 treatments over a 12 week period with 4 th treatments as a follow up at the 6 month point. Results will be felt after first treatment and will improve after each one, with the best result being felt at 6months and if you did nothing else you would be happy for approx two years.

My treatment protocols is call skin rejuvenation plan, please take a look and book consultation if you want to get started
