As a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, I believe that my specialty is a combination of art and science, and that both play a vital role in providing patients safe and enjoyable care. I take great pride in providing a personal service for patients, and offer email and phone support.
I have been in full time private practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for over ten years, and prior to this I was an NHS consultant for ten years.
I offer up to date, safe and appropriate care from consultations to gynaecological surgery including laparoscopic surgery and treatment for pelvic pain, polycystic ovaries and heavy periods. I am able to offer prompt investigation and diagnosis without the need of unnecessary visits.
My private Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice is based at the Portland Hospital in Central London, and the Wellington Hospital in St John’s Wood and Golders Green. I also consult at the Wellington Platinum Centre, and the Wellington Diagnostic Centre in Golders Green.
I feel that a holistic approach complements the incredible medical advances of the last 50 years, and that a clinician needs the essential ability to care and to be kind to their patientsas well as offering the most up to date clinical treatments. My main gynaecological interests are pelvic pain and endometriosis, and the treatment of heavy periods. I was one of the pioneers of the Novasure Endometrial Ablation (the 3 minute hysterectomy) treatment, I have also established ‘one visit clinics’ for Gynaecology in Central London.
I am an experienced gynaecological surgeon and also carry out minimally invasive (keyhole) and pelvic floor (prolapse) surgery. The Truclear treatment for fibroids has changed the outlook for many women. I offer my clients laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and pelvic pain, urinary incontinence and cosmetic gynaecology, including reconstructive vulval and labial surgery.
