I have a very rare type of Diabetes and cannot go to just any Salon . I contacted Julie at Facial Aesthetics and went for a consultation. I found Julie to be very Knowledgeable in her field and she assured me we would take one step at a time. Having had my first Profhilo treatment with Julie four weeks ago, by week three I had noticed my skin felt firmer (like when you cleanse your face or apply moisturiser I started to feel the difference) I had my second Profhilo treatment yesterday and following a quick chat Julie administered the Profhilo injections which I can say I hardly felt but was told I do have quite a high pain threshold. Immediately following the treatment I had a couple of visible pin pricks and a very small raised bump which nobody else would have noticed. I gently washed my face before going to bed with antibacterial tea tree wash (something I would normally do following a treatment but the pin pricks had already disappeared by then). So again, all good, and am hoping to see the full results in four weeks time. I am so hoping that the results will be worth it to me and if so I will continue with this treatment in the future. Ps no bruising visible either today. Thumbs up from me !

The clinic is part of the estate buildings of a large country house and has been beautifully refurbished. The setting is secluded but easy to get to from Braintree, Witham and surrounding areas. There is easy access from the A12. Aesthetically the clinic is beautiful; the decor and setting are calming and welcoming and the clinic staff, starting with the incredibly friendly front-of-house staff and knowledgeable and experienced practitioners put you at ease from the moment you walk through the door. I had my initial conversation with nurse Julie and an updated consultation and treatment with Dr Raquel. All consultations were extensive, asking detailed questions of my lifestyle, expectations of the treatment and expectations post treatment. I was given details of all options to meet my desired outcomes with a detailed costings email being sent to me very shortly after the initial consultation. Booking the appointment for the treatment was straightforward as Hannah, on reception is efficient, friendly and helpful. On the day of the treatment, I was once agin taken through the procedure in detail and given information about recovery time, care post treatment and expected time to see the full results. The treatment itself was comfortable and actually pleasurable as both Nurse Julie and Dr Raquel checked regularly how I was feeling along with Dr Raquel taking her time to ensure the administration of the filler was correctly placed and working steadily and with reassurance. My treatment took place three weeks ago and I could not be happier with the results. I was warned there would be swelling and possibly bruising and the full results could take up to six weeks. There was minimal swelling (only noticeable by me) and one tiny bruise and I am very, very happy with the results. I look fresher and well rested which was my desired outcome from the treatment.

I cannot recommend Facial Aesthetics enough. Julie and her team are kind, friendly, professional and provide a lovely calm environment where I felt automatically at ease. I arrived at the clinic which was very tidy and had a nice calming vibe, I was a bit nervous about having Botox but Julie put me at ease straight away, after a consultation I was booked in for the following day, it was over very fast and too my surprise didn’t hurt at all, the next day I started seeing results I am very pleased with the results and just to see the lines in between my eyebrows not as severe as they was is a great relief. Chose to come to this clinic for some thread vein removal around my nose and cheeks. The surroundings are beautiful, as is the clinic itself, very clean and light. Julie was very friendly and reassuring. She went through the whole process and made me feel at ease and confident in her abilities. The procedure was quite quick and so efficient. At all times I was asked if I was ok to continue with the procedure (it is a little painful, but not so much I felt a need to stop). Treatment Received: Veinwave Treatment I recently had Veinwave treatment to treat small capillaries on and around my nose and a few on my cheeks. As I understand it, Veinwave eliminates veins via a process known as thermo-coagulation whilst protecting the skin surrounding the vein. It can take a few treatments for the capillaries to disappear (with about 6 weeks between each treatment). During treatment there is a bit of a mild sting but cream to numb the area can be applied to help with this. After the treatment my skin looked red for about 20 minutes and the capillaries were immediately lighter. Over the next few days and weeks the capillaries became much darker with some disappearing completely (the ones of my cheeks) other more stubborn capillaries (around the sides of my nose) did diminished in appearance but needed further treatment. I am now four weeks post my second treatment and I am delighted with the results. Nearly all of the capillaries have gone and I am able to wear much less concealer. It has made a huge difference to my confidence and I would definitely recommend this treatment. I found Facial Aesthetics when I was looking for a clinic nearby that provided Veinwave treatment. My first impressions were excellent. The clinic is in a beautiful, restful setting and Julie herself was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the treatment. Treatment Received: Cryotherapy Following my initial contact with Julie which was very helpful and informative, I visited the clinic for treatment for sun damage (solar lentigo) on my face and follow up treatment of Seb hortic keratosis undertaken by my GP but I was still left with two areas of brown pigmentation. Julie explained in detail what the Cryotherapy treatment involved including aftercare.Julie made me feel at ease and relaxed throughout the treatment. I have a very rare type of Diabetes and cannot go to just any Salon . I contacted Julie at Facial Aesthetics and went for a consultation. I found Julie to be very Knowledgeable in her field and she assured me we would take one step at a time. Following treatment at my GP surgery for the removal of a sebhoric keratosis on my face but not interested in removing the surrounding cosmetic pigmentation in two areas surrounding it. Therefore, I started my search for someone who could treat this . I arranged a consultation to see Julie Scott on the 24th April. I decided to seek out a second opinion as I had been having Botox and lip fillers for a number of years. I was no novice in terms of risk, quality and the skill of the practitioner in having the treatment. I was dissapointed at the lack of confidence and experience that was demonstrated during the consultation and this made me feel uneasy. A photo was taken of my lip area as Julie felt unsure about a vein on my lip and she said she would email the photo to her doctor colleague. I agreed to this as she felt she needed to ensure it was safe to carry out the procedure. She then said she would contact me to agree a date to do the Botox and if she was happy the lip filler also. 2 weeks later nothing , no email, no telephone call. This is very unprofessional and an approach that doesn't promote good quality customer care. As an NHS professional this is NOT good practice. I have sinced sourced another highly regarded practitioner who has carried out the treatment and explained to me there were absolutely no contraindications or visible risk (that is the same as any other person having treatment) and no reason why this particular practitioner felt unsure about doing the treatment. Disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

I was very nervous about getting my lips done. It was my first time and I had been considering it for well over a year. I searched the Internet trying to find the perfect person to do them and am so glad I found Julie. I travelled from Kent and am so glad I did. When I first booked we had a phone conversation for about 15 minutes which put me immediately at ease, I don't think many clinics would do that. When I arrived she explained everything to me in such detail and even said if after everything I wasn't happy.. She would not pressure me to have it done and I could go back home.. I of course went ahead with it. The procedure was comfortable, she informed me what she was doing throughout and reassured me the whole time. I am so glad I found her. We ended up only doing my top lip (my bottom lip is quite large anyway!) and it looks incredibly natural which is what I wanted! I had no pain the next day and very minimal bruising. So happy with the results and I would recommend her to anybody looking at getting it done!

Anesthetic cream was applied to my lips which makes the procedure comfortable so all I had to do was relax while Julie worked her magic. 30 minutes later my lips were beautifully plump. Even my partner commented on how good they looked and he was against me having lip filler so that’s a real testament to her work. Julie called me the next day to see how I was and to check that everything was settling as it should. Everything was great! I couldn't stop looking at them for days and I wear lipstick more than ever now. Julie is amazing at what she does and I'm very much looking forward to my next treatment. I went to see Julie as I had had a bad experience with Botox; the practitioner was a Harley Street consultant but he didn't listen to what I wanted and I ended up feeling as if I was on a production line! I have been going to Julie for over 5 years after her being recommended to me by my sister who had been going to her many years before. Unfortunately our genes give way to deep lines around our lips! I went to Julie for the same treatment as my sister had many times before as it was always a good result looked so natural. The treatment lasts between 12 to 18 months for me but this can be longer for some people. I discussed my concerns with Julie that although my lines were ageing me, I did not want the ''''trout pout'''' look. Julie reassured me that she would use only natural products and advised that due to my small facial features she would only use enough products to make me look as natural as possible and she did not disappoint! I feel it is important to say that Julie is very honest with her advice about what is needed for as natural a look as possible. Every time I see Julie for a ''''top up'''' appointment we go through what my expectations are, what I feel needs attention and then Julie will give her advice on what she, in her professional opinion, feels is needed for the bests. Julie is always professional, takes time to sit (in very comfortable relaxed surroundings) and offer advice. I would also like to add that I am not great with needles but Julie is always so patient, taking her time to put me at ease and constantly talking me through the treatment. I had been thinking about having a treatment for a while and I researched this quite a lot of a number of months. After having read a number of excellent reviews I chose Facial Aesthetics after seeing numerous glowing recommendations. I was not disappointed in anyway at all. During my consultation Julie came across exactly as all of the reviews had stated, very professional, warm and a made me feel completely at ease. Julie is completely honest and will not give you a treatment that she does not believe is correct for your face and/or skin type. I was introduced to Julie by a family member when I decided to try botox for the first time. I am an actress, so I was a little nervous about having the procedure and it ''looking odd''. I have been visiting Julie @ facial aesthetics for several years to have Botox and lip fillers. The clinic is warm and welcoming which helps to relax and feel confident of the treatments you are choosing to have. The thing I love the best is no pressure is put on you to have additional procedures and your own treatment plan is taylored to your needs and not that of the clinic. I also use the skin care products which are amazing and I would recommend trying them my skin feels amazing!! They initially seem expensive but last for ages so are good value over the long term.
