Treatments at Peterborough Aesthetics, , are carried out by Dr Amrit Takhar who is a well respected GP and aesthetic doctor with 20 years experience in Dermatology and minor surgery procedures.
His approach is innovative, evidence based but gentle to ensure patients are comfortable and confident in the procedures undertaken. An extensive range of treatments which can be offered individually or combined to suit your individual requirements.
Dr Takhar graduated in medicine at Birmingham university and went on to gain a distinction in the membership examination of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has undertaken and continues advanced training in aesthetic techniques. His careful approach is designed to maximise patient safety and reduce any discomfort to the minimal level. He has loyal following of patients who appreciate his skilled injection techniques.
When injecting dermal fillers he focuses on the underlying changes in the face that lead to sagging and aging of facial features.
Dr Takhar’s approach focuses on the whole face to ensure there is harmony and no abnormal or artificial looks. He is a strong supportor of safe practice and campaigns for better regulation of the UK aesthetic industry.

Botulinum toxin type A, know by the brand names Botox (Vistabel), Dysport (Azzalure) and Xeomin (Bocouture), is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacterium clostridium botulinum. It is licensed as a prescription only medicine and can be used to treat wrinkles like frown lines and crow`s feet as well as hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. As a prescription only medicine, it requires a face-to-face consultation to determine your suitability for treatment.
Dermal fillers are made of various kinds of natural, man-made or synthetic materials that have been developed for injection into the skin and lips; including hyaluronic acid.
Unlike dermal fillers which are aimed at mechanically filling wrinkles, folds and skin depressions, tissue stimulators are injectable products which cause a biological reaction in the tissue.
