Mattia Zappala’, Senior Physiotherapist

I have 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist. I am very passionate about my job and I have a special interest in treating musculoskeletal and sports conditions/injuries. My passion led me to undertake and obtain a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Sports and I am currently undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasounds, to develop further.

I have worked with different professionals in multidisciplinary setups in various countries and settings, from outpatient and private clinics to hospitals and elite Sports (Volleyball), taking part in European and World Championships. These experiences broadened my perspectives and enriched me.

I take part in a number of sports and fitness activities myself, from football, gym training, bodyweight training, climbing and long-distance running. Hence, I understand people’s needs when it comes to pain and being restricted from activities. I love collaborating with my clients in team, as you do in elite sports, to help them achieve their goals.
