Question: Dermatofibroma

I have a small Dermatofibroma on the back of my calf which appeared few years ago after a horsefly bite.

I would like a quote to have it removed but was wondering about how well removals heal in general? It’s about 5mm at the minute so not huge but its always very red in colour ao noticeable on the skin I’d be fine with a scar but its the noticeable red blog in the middle of my calf I dislike the look of.

Thank you

Answer: Hi

Thank you so much for your email this is definitely something we can do, there would be a small scar however the Doctor is extremely precise in his excisions as he is also in training for Plastics.

We ask that you come in for a consultation first to discuss the concerns you’re having with one of our practitioners. They will look at your skin, take your medical history, discuss the range of treatments including an in-depth description of the procedure, the expected results, and any downtime that you may have to prepare for.

The consultation will also give you an opportunity to receive information regarding costs and raise any questions that you may have. There is a fee for the consultation, which is £35, however, if you decide to go ahead with one of the treatments you have discussed then this will be deducted from the total cost.

We hope to hear from you soon
