Question: skin tightening/lines

I have noticed lately that the lines around mouth and neck have got much worse with age although i have botox and fillers. What can be done?

Answer: Hi Marianne,

It depends on a number of factors. Firstly age. If you are peri-menopausal or menopausal then consideration should be given to HRT as some of your skin ageing and lines will be due to oestrogen loss. Secondly diet and lifestyle. Things like alcohol, processed food, lack of omega 3 and collagen in the diet will have an effect on skin ageing. Thirdly, sun damage if the sun damaged skin has not been treated then this will be need to addressed. Lastly dermal fillers used strategically and in the right way will help to address these concerns. I hope that helps?

Kind regards

Dr Sunny Dhesi

Answer: Hi Marianne,
Thank you for your question about lines around the mouth and neck. As we age we lose collagen in the skin, which causes lines and wrinkles. There are several treatments that can stimulate new collagen in the dermal layer of the skin and improve the quality and density of the skin and reduce lines and wrinkles.

The best treatments I personally find for these two areas are radio-frequency, Microneedling, and/or Profhilo.

Please get in touch via my profile to book a free consultation, and to have a look at my website for treatment, information and prices.

Very best wishes, Gilly, Dorset Aesthetics

Answer: Good afternoon, Thank you for your question. We have a choice of 2 options and the 1st would be coming in for an initial consultation so we can assess the area and go through skincare and professional in clinic treatment options.
The 2nd option is RF Skin Tightening Treatment which can further be combined with our clinics no1 Treatment Hydrafacial (HydraTite)

This is how it will work - The radiofrequency energy is applied to the skin causing gentle heating which creates thermal energy within facial dermal tissues for instant tightening and lifting. This stimulates a process often referred to as ‘wound healing’. The heat is recognised by the brain which then signals cells in the deeper layers of your skin to produce collagen and elastin. Over time the collagen and elastin grows and your skin will start to tighten, look fresher and smoother. The combination of vacuum suction at the stage with radio frequency improves circulation and helps to remove toxins for a brighter complexion and particularly effective on fine lines, lower face, neck, slackness and just over all skin tightening.
Both options can be booked via our online booking link on our website.
If you have anymore questions you are welcome to send through and look forward to hopefuly welcoming you into clinic soon. Thank you

Answer: Dear Marianne,
thank you for your enquiry, this is a common problem even after Botox and Filler. I would suggest RF with Microneedling as this helps with firming the skin and resurfacing at the same time with remarkable results. We are in the process of aquiring a new machine and will be up and running in February. If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me..

Answer: Hi Marianne,

I would strongly advise you to come to the Clinic for a complimentary consultation with one of our highly trained and experienced medical practitioners. It is then that she can discuss your needs and concerns thoroughly and together a personal treatment plan can be created.

Laser Resurfacing is a fantastic procedure which has proven very successful in the improvement of wrinkles, skin texture and tone, along with pigmentation and other skin conditions. This procedure can be carried out by either the doctors or the nurses in the Clinic, dependent on the particular area to be treated.

At rtwskin Clinic we endeavour to help you achieve the best results from your procedures. We have 2 different options for laser resurfacing including the SmartXide Deka CO2 Laser Resurfacing, which includes radio frequency, perfect for skin tightening. The second option is our Fotona Erbium Laser. The treatment process may vary depending on the required result. This will be discussed with you during consultation.

If you would like any further information or you would like to book your complimentary consultation, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be more than happy to help.

Our opening hours are:
Monday to Saturday 9-6pm

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Lauren Waugh

Answer: Hello, this is a common problem and it may be best to consider some other options like skin tightening with needling, radio frequency, threads and/or peels, medi grade skin care to use at home etc. Best to book an individual consultation so that your skin goals can be discussed, your skin examined and treatment options advised. Hope this helps and we would be delighted to help if you would like an assessment (we usually do an hours consultation). Please do look at our profile for contact details - (Tracy) Indulgence skin laser and beauty clinic, Daventry

Answer: There are many different treatment options that can help. Profhilo is an injectable form of hyaluronic acid which floods the skin with hydration and plumps out fine line and wrinkles as well as improving the condition of the skin. eDs medical needling can also help as this stimulates collagen helping to firm the skin whilst also reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
