Question: Treatment of smokers lines

Does Viscoderm work on smoker’s lines, fine lines by the side of lips, and the beginning of marionette lines?

Answer: Hello Leslie,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Viscoderm is a skin booster treatment, with a hyaluronic acid (HA) base. Like other HA based skin boosters, such as Profhilo, Viscoderm can hydrate the skin. However, the treatmenton its own may not be able to reduce smoker's and marionette lines significantly.

When used in conjunction with other treatments such as more HA concentrated dermal fillers to add volume to areas of volume loss, and microneedling to further stimulate collagen depletion and thus improve skin elasticity, you have much better results.

I hope this has been helpful. If you would like to book a consultation to discuss your needs in detail, please use the booking link for TD Aesthetics in the Consulting Room directory.

Answer: I don’t use Viscoderm personally. I would probably use a very soft dynamic product such as Teosyal RHA1 in this area. It is important to trey conservatively and not create volume. Sometimes a little toxin may help or some filler in the boarder of the lip.
