Answer: Hello
Dermal filler can be used above the nose between the eye brows to treat the 11 lines.
This area has blood vessels that directly supply the forehead and in directly can link to the blood vessels that supply the eye.
So it is essential that your practioner is highly skilled, (medical only) experienced and really understands the anatomy of this area. There have been global cases of blindness though to originate from treating this area with filler, so you must be consented that you understand the risks, if you are not, walk away.
A highly skilled injector will understand how to minimize these risks. I have been successfully treating this area for over 20 years.
Golden Rule No 1- NEVER let anyone non-medical put a needle into your skin.
Golden Rule No 2- ALWAYS check up that your practioner is registered to practice in the UK ask for their registration number and look at the publicly accessible register. GMC/ GDC/NMC only those registered can legally order and hold the drugs that can reverse most complications.
Kind regards
Dr Victoria

Answer: Hi there. Thank you for the question. The answer is yes. However this is a high risk area due to the proximity of some blood vessels that potentially lead to the back of the eye. Due to this fact, I will always treat the area with toxin first to reduce the lines as much as possible. Then dermal filler can be used in smaller amounts very superficially in the area

Answer: Good morning Brenda.
Dermal filler should not be injected between the eyebrows in the "11" furrow as this is actually dangerous.

Answer: Hi Brenda,
Yes, dermal filler can be used in this area BUT it is a very high risk area for blindness from dermal filler hence I do not perform this treatment. If someone is concerned about deep wrinkles in this area, I offer alternative treatments instead to reduce the wrinkle.
Regards,

Answer: Hi Brenda - great question- yes it can however it should be a last resort treatment after having tried Botox regularly for 12 months. This is because it is a high risk area to treat. Make sure if you decide to treat that the practitioner is experienced
