I was excited to hear about cryopen and its treatment of skin tags, facial age related dark skin patches and warts, but very disappointed to see that it is not available for people with rheumatoid arthritis? Please could you explain if this is for everyone with RA or just some severe cases and also why this is the case? If so, is there an alternative treatment you could suggest?

I have consulted the two doctors at the clinic and we can treat skin tags/pigmentation at our clinic with cryo or the skin pen even with clients with rheumatoid arthritis. thank you for your message.
We do offer cryopen treatment, however, we found we've achieved better results with different treatments. Skin tags and warts can be treated with advanced electrolysis. It's a quick treatment, usually one off and it is £95 for a session up to 15 mins.

Regarding the age spots, the best thing to do would be to come in for a consultation. We have a few different options that the therapist can explain to you and they would need to have a look at your skin to decide which treatment would work the best for you. Possibly do a patch test as well.

Answer: Thanks fir your question, it sort of depends on your medication and whether you’ve have had recent flares of joint changes. As the treatment causes an inflammatory response there is a risk that it could cause a flare of joint changes and inflammation in your system. Also some of the medication that you take for RA such as steroids or a group of drugs called TNF or gold injections stop the treatment from working so would be a waste of time.
Electrolysis may be another option to consider. I hope this helps.
