Who is Alison Bladh?

Alison Bladh has over 30 years of experience in women’s skin health. She is a CIDESCO-qualified aesthetician, registered nutritional therapist, award-winning beauty therapist, and international bestselling author of Have a Magnificent Menopause: A Straightforward Guide to Looking Good and Feeling Great.
Who is Alison Bladh?
“Beauty is not lost with age. It simply evolves, and your routine needs to evolve with it.
The right skincare is powerful, but the right lifestyle and nutrition behind it is transformative — and I’m here to help more women understand and navigate this.
Supporting the nervous system may be the most underrated skincare tool of all.”
Alison’s own journey with skin began as a teenager when she struggled with acne, sparking a lifelong fascination with hormones, skin health, and the science behind effective treatments. Her expertise spans beauty therapy, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how to support women through hormonal changes.

What is the Meno Massage Method™?

The Meno Massage Method™ is a holistic mind-body treatment that combines:
  • Specialised massage movements
  • Nervous system support and breathwork
  • Reflex-inspired touch
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Lifestyle medicine strategies
“After spending more than thirty years working with women 40 plus, I kept seeing the same story unfold,” says Alison.

“So many were struggling with fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep, stubborn weight gain, and changes in their skin. They needed more than a traditional spa treatment — they needed something that recognised what was actually happening inside their bodies during perimenopause and menopause. This is why I created the Meno Massage Method™.”
The treatment is designed for beauty salons and wellness spas and can be offered in full-body sessions (90 or 60 minutes) or targeted 30-minute sessions for areas such as the back, neck, shoulders, abdomen, or face/décolletage.

Certified therapists also receive client materials, including Lifestyle Wellness Cards and copies of Alison’s book, to provide ongoing support beyond the massage session.

How it Supports Women

The Meno Massage Method™ aims to address common challenges faced during menopause, including:
  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Hormonal changes affecting mood and sleep
  • Skin changes, dryness, and loss of elasticity
  • Stress and nervous system imbalances
“I finally felt someone understood what I was going through,” shared a client.
“The massage was deeply relaxing, but it also gave me a sense of emotional reset that I didn’t expect.”

Therapists report that clients often return for repeat treatments, highlighting benefits such as reduced tension, improved sleep, and a sense of overall well-being.

Beyond Massage: Nutrition, Lifestyle, and Self-Care

Alison also emphasises the importance of nutritional therapy and lifestyle habits during midlife:
  • Targeted nutrition can support energy, mood, weight management, skin health, and hormone balance.
  • Understanding perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause can help women navigate hormonal changes more effectively.
  • Minimising exposure to ultra-processed foods and endocrine disruptors in the environment supports long-term health.
  • Prioritising self-care is essential for wellbeing, not selfish — particularly as women age.
“Supporting the nervous system may be the most underrated skincare tool of all,” Alison notes.
The Meno Massage Method™ reflects Alison’s philosophy that skin health, nutrition, and lifestyle are deeply interconnected, and that beauty at 40+ is about nurturing the body and mind together.
