Wondering how to treat your acne scarring?

Here are some tips to help...

Invest in a medical grade skincare routine including the following:
Chemical Exfoliants

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs): Such as glycolic acid and lactic acid, help to exfoliate the top layer of the skin, promoting cell turnover and improving texture.

Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs): Such as salicylic acid, penetrate deeper into the pores to reduce inflammation and exfoliate the skin.

Retinoids
Topical retinoids like tretinoin can stimulate collagen production and accelerate cell turnover, improving the appearance of scars over time.
Chemical Exfoliants
Vitamin C
An antioxidant that can brighten skin and reduce pigmentation, improving the overall appearance of acne scars.

Book in for a chemical peel

These contain exfoliants stronger than those found in skincare and can significantly improve skin texture and tone. My favourite peel to perform in clinic is the Obagi Blue Radiance peel as it has little to no downtime.

Try SkinPen Microneedling

This procedure uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen production and dramatically improving the appearance of scars. I usually recommend a course of 3-6 treatments for best results.
