Question: Thread Lift Cost

Hi there,

I am interested in having a thread-lift for my neck and jowls, and potentially my mid-face.

I have been advised by one aesthetic practitioner I have spoken to that for longer-lasting results, it is better to have 2 treatments 8 weeks apart, and then touch-ups every 12-18 months thereafter.

I wanted to get an appropriate cost please of how much I would be looking at in the Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire area.

I live in Hertfordshire and am getting prices around this area, but I frequently visit my family in Alfreton (Derbyshire), and I would like to compare costs that end of the country before choosing a clinic.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing back from you!

Answer: Hello Amanda

Thank you for your email enquiry.
I would like to invite you in for a complimentary consultation with one of our highly skilled practitioners. It is during this that they will assess your concerns and together, you will create a treatment plan to suit your needs.

Silhouette Soft® uses a double action effect to restore smoother and more toned skin, but also a shapelier face. To meet this requirement, Silhouette Soft® combines two effects: An immediate repositioning of the tissue and a gradual regeneration of collagen.
The repositioning effect is immediate and discreet. It is the result of tissue compression and skin elevation at the time of implanting the suture. After inserting the suture, the doctor applies slight pressure on the treated area. In this way, the doctor reshapes the contours of your face and makes it visibly smoother.
The regenerative effect is gradual and natural: polylactic acid (PLA), the principal component of Silhouette Soft® is a polymer known in the medical field for many years (suture thread, orthopedic pins, screws and nails for bone fractures are all made from PLA). It is because this polymer is particularly biocompatible with human beings, and also completely biodegradable, that such applications have been developed. Once the suture is applied, the polylactic acid acts on the deeper layers of the skin and naturally stimulates the body so that it produces its own collagen. This action, which continues over time, helps increase the volume of saggy areas and restores shapeliness to the face gradually and perfectly naturally. Due to this we perform one treatment.
You may find it helpful to watch the following video on our YouTube Channel, which shows Gillian Taylforth undergoing this procedure and the remarkable results that are produced.

We not only offer a complimentary consultation but also a follow up appointment to ensure that you are completely happy with the result. At consultation there will be time spent with you to ascertain exactly what you would like to achieve from your procedure. Our practitioners will guide you and work with you.
For four threads, Silhouette Soft starts from £1,500.
Our clinic is based in Tunbridge Wells and is open 6 days a week and our opening times are as follows:
Monday to Saturday: 9am – 6pm

Please let me know if you have any other questions or to arrange your complimentary consultation.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Answer: Hello Amanda

Thread lifts are a very effective way to lift cheek and jowls. Be careful aesthetics is unregulated and there are many people placing threads who have done a course but do not hold a medical qualification.

This is a minor surgical procedure and should be approached with this in mind. Only CQC/HIS registered medical professionals are correctly regulated to provide safe thread lifts. Aesthetic practioner is not a regulated title and does not infer a qualification.

I have 7 years experience providing thread lifts and I am the trainer for Scotland for MINT PDO threads. MINT PDO threads give a 4 x stronger lift then other PDO threads which tend to give under facial movement. Maybe this is why you have been advised to have a second treatment at 8 weeks. I also use Silhouette and APTOS threads and I do not know of a thread lift system that would repeat at 8 weeks.

APTOS are longer lasting at 2 years plus, and offer threads combined with integral HA, they are more expensive. MINT threads are great value, they give really great results that last 12-18 months when placed with skill and knowledge of anatomy.

I recommend looking for a MINT thread provider in your area. Have an inperson consultation for a quote, its just not possible without seeing you.

Kind regards
Dr Victoria

Answer: Hi Amanda

We have received an enquiry through the Consulting Room regarding your interest in thread lifts, whilst this is something we can do I think I should point out that we are based in Edinburgh, Scotland. While I am happy to give you a link to our website so you can read through our information and get an indication of costs, it may not be relevant if you are not able to travel to Scotland to have treatment.

I will give you the link to our website and should you wish to contact us directly you are able to do this through our webpage.

kind regards
