Answer: Good morning,

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding sun spot removal - we specialise in this treatment with our world class lasers by Cutera V+.

Treatment starts from £195 depending on the size of the area you would like to be removed.

The first step would be to get you in for a consultation to assess the area and your suitability for treatment.

Do feel free to get in touch to book this in.

Best wishes,

Answer: Hi there,

thank you for contacting us.
This would be treated with a laser and requires several sessions. We would need to book you in for a consultation and a patch test to make sure your skin is ok with the treatment. There is a £30 charge for your patch test which is redeemable if you buy a course. During your consultation, the therapist will be able to assess the area and give you a quote on your treatment. We do sell the treatment as a package of 3 or 6 sessions.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,

Nakedhealth Team

Answer: Thank you for your email enquiry.

I would like to invite you to the Clinic for a Complimentary Consultation with one of our highly skilled Medical Practitioners. During this time, your Practitioner will discuss your concerns and create a thorough treatment plan for you. It may be that a combination of the following will be the best way forward for you.

Laser treatment or Intense Pulsed Light
IPL or Laser is a quick and painless procedure; this is the most effective means of removing discolouration’s on the skin. There is no need for any needles or anaesthesia, the spots rarely return and the risk of scarring is very minimal.

Obagi Nuderm
A fantastic product line suitable for all levels of pigmentation. Obagi is a medically prescribed product that can only be prescribed though a health care professional such as doctor. Results can be seen within 6-12 weeks.

Answer: Generally we would treat with Cryotherapy if it is a clearly defined lesion (rather than general diffuse pigmentation like Melasma). Usually this will treat a pigmented lesion in one treatment.

Answer: Hello MinhHV, thank you for your question about removing sun spots.

I am a Nurse Practitioner and Independent prescriber. I trained in aesthetics on Harley Street in 2019. I have been a Registered Nurse since 2009 and have worked in A&E, theatre recovery, laser centre, community and school nursing.

IPL and laser treatments work by selectively targeting different colours, or ‘chromophores’; melanin for pigmentation and hair removal, or haemoglobin for thread veins, cherry spots, etc. The specific light waves turn to heat energy when they find the target ‘chromophore’, or colour. This breaks down and removes the pigment.

Cold gel is applied to the skin and safety goggles are worn. The applicator is placed on the target area. The treatment feels like the snap of a hot elastic band. It is usually well tolerated, but I always take my time, explain everything as I go, and count down before I ‘zap’.

After a treatment your skin will be cooled and soothing gel and SPF will be applied. It is important to follow the aftercare instructions to avoid potential risks and lessen side effects. SPF must be worn daily post-treatment to lessen the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Avoid heat on the skin for 24-48 hours, no strenuous exercise or anything that will heat the skin from the inside. If the treatment area feels hot post-treatment cool it down with a cold face-cloth or similar to minimise the risk of burning, blisters and subsequent potential wound infection and scarring.

Treatment is suitable for most people. Contraindications include the use of topical retinoids (retinol, tretinoin) within two weeks, some antibiotics and medications can make the skin react badly to light (photosensitive). Tanned skin can’t be treated as the light can’t differentiate between the melanin we want to remove and the melanin we don’t, which can risk burns and hypo-pigmentation.

The number of treatments needed varies between 1-3, depending on the lesion. A test patch is required before a full treatment. Prices start from £50 for a small area.
