Answer: Dear PoppyH
Thank you for your enquiry. Morpheus8 is a microneedling device that uses radio frequency technology to tighten, lift and contour the skin by restoring collagen and elastin, the two proteins that help you maintain a youthful look.
Collagen is naturally produced by your body to provide strength and structure.
Elastin helps your skin return to its original position after it has been poked, stretched or pinched. Morpheus8 delivers uniform results across all skin types without any damage. It uses tiny needles to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin to allow the radio frequency to penetrate to create a controlled level of heat that stimulates the skin’s building blocks. In addition the tiny holes stimulate your body to heal itself by increasing elastin and collagen formation, allowing your skin to rebuild itself more easily than before, thereby leading to a natural anti-ageing process that improves complexion, delivers better texture, and tightens the skin.
Whilst I do not provide the Morpheus8 in clinic currently, I have looked into it as I want to provide this in the future. To my knowledge I am not aware reports of undesirable damage left to the skin such as those you have mentioned. I would like to suggest that you should report back to the clinic where you had your treatment so they are given an opportunity to see and explore what could have caused this, and to help rectify it.
Other options are to see a specialist such as The Harley Filler Specialist London with Dr Julian De Silva who is a leading facial cosmetic surgeon and a Morpheus8 specialist so you can get a professional opinion as to which way forward.
I work with Obagi Medical Grade skincare, and the Nu-Derm System which helps in retexturing the skin and promoting new collagen growth via stimulation with medical grade retinol, however without some photos I would not be able to fully advise if these would be suitable for you. If you would like to arrange a consultation, kindly contact me via my profile, and I can arrange to send out some consultation forms.
With kind regards
Dr Tehseen Khan
