Dr Zainab Al-Mukhtar graduated with distinction in dentistry from King’s College London in 2010, before acquiring other postgraduate qualifications, including MFDS RCSEd (2013) and MJDF (2014). After five years serving the NHS, she transitioned to private practice fulfilling a decade long career in facial aesthetics and aesthetic dentistry before deciding to practice aesthetic medicine exclusively.
She is Medical Director of multi award winning practice in North West London, Harrow on the Hill Dental & Facial Aesthetics, where she leads a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering a high standard of patient care with a holistic approach.
Since 2014, Dr Zainab has been passionate about education, regularly demonstrating the art of facial sculpting. She is co-creator and lead trainer of a Facial Contouring Masterclass at a leading academy.
In 2021, she became one of the UK's early adopters of facial ultrasound in aesthetic practice, and has championed its integration in clinical practice through presenting, teaching, and writing. She is a speaker for Clarius Ultrasound on maximising safety in Non Surgical Rhinoplasty. She is also a consultant and speaker on filler complications, and on the art of patient communications.
Her work has earned multiple awards including Winner of Best Facial Aesthetics Practice (2023) & Best Practice Design (2022), Highly Commended for Best Non Surgical Result and Best Aesthetic Industry Ambassador, amongst others. She has authored in professional publications like Aesthetic Medicine, Aesthetics Journal, Aesthetic Update, Private Dentistry Magazine, and sits on the editorial board of Aesthetic Update Journal.
Dr Zainab maintains an unwavering commitment to contribution in the field of aesthetic medicine, and through her advisory role for Safety in Aesthetics, she aims to continue supporting the advancement of this field.
