Rosacea is one of the most persistent challenges for aesthetic practitioners, with patients often cycling through topical and oral medications with limited success. A recent single-centre case study has explored the use of the Alpha Pro System’s 3D IPL S-530 applicator (530nm) for rosacea and facial telangiectasia, producing measurable results.
Two patients (aged 42 and 47) who had failed to improve on previous ivermectin and antibiotic treatments received 2–4 Alpha 3D IPL sessions at monthly intervals. After the course of treatment, the study reported an average improvement rate of 84% (range: 80–88%). Notably, reductions in redness and visible vessels were often apparent after the very first session.
Patients reported good tolerance, with no significant side effects and an average pain score of just 3.5 out of 10. The built-in cooling control of Alpha Pro’s applicator supported comfort and more precise targeting of chromophores, helping to reduce visible telangiectasia effectively.
While larger studies will add further context, these findings suggest Alpha Pro’s 3D IPL is a practical and evidence-supported option for clinics looking to offer patients relief from rosacea symptoms when other modalities have not delivered.
