Aesthetic pharmaceutical company Croma Pharma hosted its third annual Croma Academy Day for practitioner education on Monday, September 8th of September in Stockholm, Sweden. The company hosted a full day of innovation, bringing together experts, educators and practitioners from across Northern Europe.
This year’s event provided insights led by Croma’s industry experts to inspire and engage delegates. The day consisted of expert-led sessions, regional insights and innovation spotlights. Attendees engaged in peer-to-peer learning with Croma educators and reviewed the latest clinical studies and aesthetic techniques from Croma Pharma.
Croma welcomed attendees on the evening of Sunday, the 7th of September, with an informal dinner for all attendees at Frippe. On the 8th of September, attendees enjoyed a full day of workshops and presentations at the Croma Academy by the waterfront at Berns in Stockholm.
Nine speakers at the summit were from the UK, Netherlands and Nordics and included Professor Syed Haq, Dr Helga Van Den Elzen, Dr Calle Westerby, Dr Iman Nurlin, Dr Jesper Thuelsen, Dr Mayoni Gooneratne, Dr Tayana Lapa-Enright and leading beauty and aesthetic journalist and founder of The Editor’s List, Olivia Falcon. Speakers shared their insights, in-clinic treatment techniques, clinical research and case studies throughout the summit. Practitioners utilised Croma’s extensive portfolio of products, including injectables, skin boosters and threads, showcasing their latest techniques and treatments.

Miss Mayoni Gooneratne is a surgeon and an award-winning entrepreneur who is the founder of Human Health™. Alongside her conventional surgical and medical career, she has also studied and furthered her understanding of lifestyle medicine, nutrition and functional medicine through reading and undertaking college diplomas and higher reading.
Dr Helga Van Den Elzen
Dr Helga van den Elzen is a highly experienced cosmetic physician and researcher, with over 30 years of expertise in aesthetic medicine. Holding a PhD and dual university degrees, she has dedicated her career to advancing clinical excellence and patient-centered care through a scientifically rigorous approach. Dr. Van den Elzen regularly speaks at international conferences, underscoring that despite evolving industry challenges, foundational principles grounded in science, diagnostics, and trust-based patient relationships remain essential.
Dr Carl Westerby, MD
Dr Carl Westerby, MD is a physician and specialist in general medicine with over 12 years of experience in aesthetic medicine. He earned his medical degree from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and has since built a reputation as a thoughtful and precise injector with a strong clinical and academic profile. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Westerby has served as a trainer and speaker for several international aesthetic companies, and regularly teaches both foundational and advanced techniques, helping to raise standards of care and injector confidence.
Dr Iman Nurlin
Dr. Iman Nurlin is a highly respected aesthetic physician based in Sweden and the founder and CEO of Ribelle Clinic. With over 15 years of experience, she has built a reputation for her expertise in holistic facial aesthetics, non-invasive injectable treatments, and her deep understanding of beauty from both a scientific and artistic perspective. Dr. Nurlin is an active international speaker and trainer. Olivia Falcon
Olivia Falcon is an award-winning journalist and founder of The Editor’s List, (editorslist.co.uk) the UK’s leading service for expert advice on cosmetic procedures and practitioners. Former health and beauty director of Tatler magazine, Olivia has honed her knowledge, editing 13 of the Tatler Cosmetic Surgery Guides, building up an unrivalled contact book of the world’s best aesthetic and wellness practitioners, and has personally road-tested pretty much every non-invasive cosmetic treatment out there herself. Dr Tatyana Lapa-Enright
Dr Tatyana Lapa-Enright is an experienced doctor and founder of Hardwick Medical Clinic, Cambridge. She trained at Norwich Medical School with clinical teaching experience at UEA Norwich and undertook research at the University of Cambridge. Her areas of expertise are in aesthetic dermatology for the treatment of skin imperfections and signs of ageing. Professor Syed Haq
Professor Syed Haq is a professor of medicine. He specialises in treating the ageing brain/skin and immune system. Prof. Haq runs his Aesthetic clinics in London, Belfast and Dublin, treating thousands of patients per year with cosmetic procedures. Since 2007 he has advised and acted as International KOL (Key Opinion Leader) for numerous companies; helping to develop innovative treatment approaches. He was part of a visionary group of clinicians who created the first university Master’s Program in Aesthetic Medicine in the UK.

Initially from a Critical and Intensive Care background in the NHS, Grace has over 8 years experience within the medical industry and boasts a First Class Adult Nursing Degree (BSc Hons Adult Nursing). With a passion for training other medical professionals in a comfortable welcoming environment, delegates travel from all over the country to learn at the renowned Azira Academy.
