Dr Askari Townsend

After 6 years of surgical training in the NHS, Dr Askari opened his first aesthetic clinic in 2008 before selling it to the UK's largest chain of laser clinics. He then spent the next few years with sk:n, becoming the Director of Medical Services before leaving in 2015 to launch ASKINOLOGY, a multi-award winning clinic in the city of London.

Over his career, Dr Askari has been an enthusiastic speaker and trainer, both nationally and internationally, for several brands including ZO Skin Health.

Throughout the years, Dr Askari used 6 different major practice management systems and struggled with them all. As a result, in 2019, he founded Collums, a new software platform specifically for aesthetic practitioners and clinics. Collums is user-centric software that offers the fastest digital note-recording system for injectable practitioners.

Dr Askari Townshend used 6 different clinic management software over his 17 years in aesthetics. He struggled to find one that felt it helped the practitioner to make use of digital notes without slowing down the process.

In 2019 he founded Collums with the goal of creating software that was simple to use, was designed around the user and enabled practitioners to run their entire businesses from an iPad or similar device.

Collums supports all sizes of businesses from solo practitioners to multi-location clinics turning over more than £1 million per year. All have the knowledge that Collums is probably the most tested software available: no changes are made before they are thoroughly tested in Dr Askari’s own clinic, ASKINOLOGY, with up to 10 staff using the system at any one time.
