20/07/2021 | DanielleLowe | We are writing to inform you that we will be ceasing your membership subscription to Consulting Room (www.consultingroom.com) for the following clinic listings with immediate effect: Aesthetic Beauty Clinic Newcastle Aesthetic Beauty Clinic Sunderland Aesthetic Beauty Clinic London We have not taken this decision lightly and you will know that we have had recent dialogue with you regarding regulatory issues and our ongoing concerns. We are taking this action in relation to point 13 of our Terms & Conditions (viewable here - www.consultingroom.com/services/Terms-Conditions.asp), alongside the current conditions and warnings in place on Dr Ash Dutta's GMC registration (viewable here - www.gmc-uk.org/doctors/4089731) and the recent decision by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to cancel the registration of two clinic locations (Newcastle and Sunderland) due to non-compliance with improvement requests from previous inspections (viewable here - www.cqc.org.uk/provider/1-101726704/services). In line with our remit to do our best to verify that clinics listed with Consulting Room are compliant with all relevant national regulatory requirements, and our desire to maintain due diligence towards patient safety, we feel that we can no longer list both your cosmetic surgery and non-surgical aesthetic treatments within our platform, so must remove your clinic listings from our public search and cease sending your patient referrals. Removal will be effective immediately. According to our records, no refunds are due as you are currently on a payment freeze due to COVID-19 and no further payments will be taken for your membership. We hope that you can appreciate our decision on this matter, but if you wish to appeal, then we would require a written statement and evidence to support your request for reinstatement within our website which can be reviewed by management.

24/05/2021 | DanielleLowe | Message from Wendy: I can confirm Dr Dutta is compliant with his GMC conditions. He is required to have remote supervision, this applies to his surgical cases. He is fully compliant with his conditions. Everyone is happy to keep the clinics live for now. Will review in August.
29/04/2021 | DanielleLowe | Emailed Wendy: I am writing to you concerning the 3 Aesthetic Beauty Centre clinics you have registered with us here at consultingroom.com. It has come to our attention that there have been conditions placed against the GMC record of one of your medical team: Dr Ash Dutta. We are not seeking to remove your membership with us but could you please provide some reassurance that the interim conditions placed by the GMC are being met with. 1) That Dr Dutta has clinical supervision during medical treatments or 2) Could you please provide the details and GMC numbers of the other registered Doctors involved with any of the 3 clinic locations. We can then update our records accordingly. If you would be willing to provide us with details of the currently adjourned tribunal for Dr Dutta also, this would be greatly appreciated. Futher note to self: Depending on the outcome of this email, Dan will have to decide whether we continue to allow these 3 clinics to be listed.

18/01/2021 | DanielleLowe | Ash Dutta has had tribunals for misconduct in the past and can currently only perform surgical procedures under the supervision of another qualified person due to these restrictions from the GMC. He has got a tribunal coming up on Jan 21st 2021 to determine if he will be struck off or if he can continue to perform these surgical treatments- https://www.mpts-uk.org/hearings-and-decisions/medical-practitioners-tribunals/dr-ashish-dutta-dec-20 Will remove surgical treatmentes depending on outcome of hearing.
18/01/2021 | Zi | Problem with accreditation (below) was recorded on the 2 northern clinics but not on the London listing in spring 2020 however the practioners are the same and so surgical treatments should be removed or Lorna's expertise sought
