The first-ever Welsh Aesthetics Symposium (WAS) is set to debut on Saturday March 29th at the ICC Wales in Newport, offering a landmark event that brings together leading voices in the field of aesthetic medicine.

The carefully curated CPD-accredited agenda covers clinical guidance alongside business advice for a comprehensive day of learning.

The morning sessions will delve into critical topics such as patient safety, regulatory standards, and effectively managing complications. These discussions will underscore the importance of adhering to best practices in a rapidly evolving industry.

The afternoon will shift focus to skin health, offering thought-provoking talks on cutting-edge developments in regenerative medicine, the effects of menopause on the skin, and the vital importance of early skin cancer detection. These sessions will empower practitioners with both the knowledge and tools to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Throughout the day there will also be unmissable talks on appropriate patient documentation, insurance coverage, financial management, AI, sales and marketing, and mastering social media. These talks are designed to equip attendees with actionable insights to grow their practices in a competitive marketplace.

Renowned speakers include complications expert Dr MJ Rowland-Warmann who will present insightful case studies of complication management, while Professor David Sines, Independent Executive Chair and Registrar of the JCCP, will guide delegates through recent developments in regulation.

Freya Carlsen, the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN’s) regional leader for South Wales, will share the benefits of joining a professional association. She said, “I’m so excited for this inaugural event. For a long time, Welsh practitioners have had to travel further afield for aesthetic conferences, impacting their time and finances. Now they can access first-class education, hear from prestigious speakers, discover new products and services, and network with local peers practically on their door step. I urge all practitioners in Wales and the surrounding areas to join us on March 29th!”
