Dr. Raquel Amado is a highly accomplished dental surgeon who was born in Portugal and graduated in 2007. She pursued an extensive six-year training program that encompassed in-depth studies of human physiology, pathology, biology, and specialized knowledge of the head and neck.
After completing her training, Dr. Raquel moved to England where she began working for the NHS as a General Dentist. Her commitment to professional growth led her to undertake further education and certifications. She completed a post-graduate program in Dental Sedation and Pain Management at the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. Additionally, she obtained a year-long certificate in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry, along with other notable accreditations.
During her time in England, Dr. Raquel’s genuine passion for medical aesthetics blossomed. To pursue her interest, she embarked on several training courses, including the equivalent of a master’s degree in Aesthetic Medicine for injectables at the renowned Harley Academy. Motivated by her knowledge and expertise, she eventually established her own successful aesthetics clinic in Kings Hill.
While at Harley Academy, Dr. Raquel found fulfillment as a Lead Senior Clinical Mentor, guiding and mentoring other medical professionals through the UK’s first fully-regulated Level 7 qualification for injectables. This experience allowed her to share her extensive knowledge and passion for aesthetic medicine.
Recognizing the paramount importance of patient safety in facial aesthetics, Dr. Raquel became an Affiliated Member of the Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative (CMAC). Her clinical training in the safe use of anesthetics has endowed her with exceptional skills in needlework and injection techniques. Dr. Raquel Amado is also a Clinical Trainer, Key Opinion Leader for Derma Focus, and an International Speaker for Alumier MD.
Dr. Raquel believes in taking a holistic approach to full-face rejuvenation and prioritizes the enhancement of skin health. She advocates against relying solely on injectable fillers as an aging solution, emphasizing the significance of combining techniques that yield long-lasting and natural-looking results. Her philosophy centers around starting the rejuvenation process with the body’s own tissues and focusing on prevention. By investing in these techniques, patients can not only enhance their appearance but also improve their overall health and well-being. Dr. Raquel’s commitment to her field has earned her accolades, including being Highly Commended for Rising Star of the Year at the 2023 Aesthetics Awards, and being a finalist for Medical Aesthetic Practitioner of the Year (Dentist) for the Aesthetic Medicine Awards 2023. Her clinic was also awarded the What Clinic Patient Service Award in 2022 and 2023.
Dr. Raquel is renowned for her friendly and caring demeanor, her discreet approach, and her ability to put her patients at ease. She places great value on developing long-lasting relationships with her patients and is deeply committed to providing safe, high-quality care that ensures the best outcomes for each individual, instilling them with confidence in their own skin
