At its purest, Aesthetic Medicine serves to beautify. Why? There is youth in beauty. We do not want to make anyone 20 years younger. That would be insulting. That is to suggest the last 20 years didn’t count. It truly is a privilege to get older. We do however want to restore youthful features. For example, a youthful cheek is higher, fuller and more defined than one past our forties. A youthful brow frames the face better, opens the eyes and is inviting. Combing the two restores youth and beauty, lifting the appearance of the face, helping us to look less tired and more alert, energised and happy.
Understanding these differences between men and women, as well as the ageing process, allows us to refine, improve and develop our features, always aiming for a natural, healthy result. Quietly enhanced. When understood, features of a male and female face can be addressed in a subtle way to achieve a natural, discreet result with very little to no downtime.

Dr Nestor Demosthenous
Dr Nestor is one of Scotland’s most experienced aesthetic doctors. He is an international speaker and published author in Aesthetic Medicine. Having dedicated most of his medical career to Aesthetic Medicine, as well as a passion for this specialty, Dr Nestor opened The Medical & Cosmetic Centre in Edinburgh’s city centre in 2016. It has since grown to be one of the largest aesthetic clinics in Scotland and has won several awards including ‘Best New Clinic 2016’ and ‘Most Innovative Clinic 2017’, and ‘Best Clinic Scotland 2019’, with Dr Nestor himself winning “Cosmetic Doctor of the Year 2018”. Dr Nestor also holds regular fortnightly clinics at London’s multi-award winning PHI Clinic on Harley St.

Consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon at NHS Lanarkshire, working primarily at the NHS Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Dr Rona
Dr Rona completed her medical degree at the University of Glasgow in 2010, after which she worked in Glasgow for 2 years before travelling to Australia to undertake Emergency Medicine training for the following 3 years.

Amanda Wilson is a Registered General Nurse and an Independent Nurse Prescriber with a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing as well as a PGDip in Aesthetic Medicine with an extensive clinical background.
