Deborah Sandler (BA, MBACP) is a psychotherapist with a background in philosophy of aesthetics and is the first cosmetic surgery counsellor. In Jan 2000, together with clinical psychologist Dr Art Anderson, she set up Cosmeticsupport.com offering professional emotional support for pre- and post-op cosmetic surgery patients. Deborah recently launched cosmeticsurgerycounselling.com supported by Prof Windy Dryden.
Her earlier career history was in admin working for Saatchi and Saatchi, Channel 4 and L’Oreal.
Deborah has struggled with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) all her life and has had benefit from two cosmetic surgery procedures.
Deborah was born in New Jersey, grew up in Glasgow, has lived in Los Angeles and Washington but calls London her home.
