<p>Orthodontic treatment can take several months to several years to complete. Prior to electing treatment, it’s important that you ask yourself the following questions:</p> <ul> <li>Am I planning on moving in the next few months? </li> <li>Do I have the time in my schedule to attend frequent appointments? </li> <li>Am I prepared to ‘live with’ foreign objects in my mouth for a considerable period of time and have I considered if this will affect me in any way in my personal, social and work life? </li> <li>Can I afford invisible braces? </li> <li>Am I fully committed to maintaining excellent oral health (e.g., brushing several times a day, regular flossing etc.) </li> <li>Am I willing to wear a retainer 24/7 for at least six months following treatment? </li> </ul>
