<p>It is very important that you follow the advice of your surgeon very carefully after your surgery.</p>
<p>Post-surgery advice may include: </p>
<ul>
     <li>using recommended painkillers as required; </li>
     <li>after a few days any gauze dressings can be removed and you may need to wear a surgical bra. It should be worn as directed by the surgeon; </li>
     <li>physical contact should be avoided for 2 - 3 weeks as your breasts will be feeling very sensitive; </li>
     <li>your surgeon will advise when to begin exercising and normal activities; </li>
     <li>contact your surgeon immediately if you notice any signs of infection or if you experience bleeding or a sudden increase in pain; </li>
     <li>ensure that you are given, and keep full details of, your implants: manufacturer, style, and batch number.</li>
     <li>previous advice used to include massaging of the breast to avoid capsular contraction, with newer designed implants it is no longer necessary to massage the area post operation, and in the case of anatomical or 'teardrop' shaped implants, massage could indeed caused rotation of the implant away from its desired location.</li>
