<p>It is very important that you follow the advice of your practitioner carefully after an implant of any kind to help to improve the benefit of the procedure and reduce the risk of complications or side effects.</p> <p>Post-treatment advice may include: </p> <ul><li>using of mild painkillers, such as paracetamol, if required; </li><li>returning to have stitches removed after 7 – 10 days if they are not dissolvable; </li><li>being careful not to raise the blood pressure for at least 3 weeks as this could cause internal bleeding at your treatment area. Do not participate in contact sports for at least 8 weeks and ask your surgeon what he recommends specifically for you in order to keep your blood pressure low; </li><li>contacting your practitioner immediately if you notice any signs of infection or an increase in pain. <br /></li></ul>
