Crow’s feet are the fine lines and wrinkles which start to appear as one of the first signs of ageing around the eyes. Named after their appearance as three of four lines coming out from the corners of each eye in the direction of the ears, which look like a toes on a bird’s foot, they are also more kindly referred to as smile lines as they tend to be more prominent when we raise our mouth and cheeks into a smile. Because they are caused by persistent movement they are regarded as one of a number of dynamic lines or wrinkles, alongside frown lines. Crow’s feet with mild to moderate depth wrinkles can be effectively reduced using many treatments, both non-surgical and surgical.
