Introduction

<p>The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (The BAAPS) Members are fully trained Plastic Surgeons. They have undergone a rigorous training programme. Currently this involves six years training in recognised training centres, undergoing regular assessment and examinations.</p>
<h4>Who We Are</h4>
<p>BAAPS is the only organisation solely dedicated to safety and education in aesthetic surgery, and which represents the vast majority of NHS-trained Consultant Plastic Surgeons in private practice.</p>
<p>BAAPS Members have completed the highest level of training available in their field, and keep up to date with surgical advances by attending scientific meetings in the UK and abroad and participating in specific association activities like the BAAPS annual audit.  </p>
<p>All new Membership applications are scrutinized by the Council of BAAPS and then voted on at the Annual General Meeting. BAAPS demands that its Members act ethically and with integrity at all times, and membership can be removed if there is evidence of continued failure to abide by this.</p>

<h4>Regional Aesthetic Training Days</h4>

<p>The BAAPS recognises that training in aesthetic surgery is an essential component of the BAAPS principles and, since 2014, has organised a series of Regional Aesthetic Training Days aimed at pre-and post-CCT trainees.  </p>
<p>These meetings are open to trainees from any region, not just those from the local deanery. Different subjects are offered in various regions giving the opportunity to cover a broad spectrum of topics throughout the year.</p>
<p>The programme is delivered by a group of leading consultants in the various areas covered and other experts in related fields.</p>
<p>All delegates receive a certificate of attendance with CPD points.</p>
