The British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) is a registered charity and the UK’s leading membership body for doctors and dentists working in aesthetic medicine. With around 500 members, BCAM sets the benchmark for professional standards, education, and clinical excellence. Every member holds GMC or GDC registration with a licence to practise, and all commit to meeting rigorous requirements to maintain their place in the College.
Founded in 2001 as the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors, BCAM has grown from just 27 doctors to a respected College of over 450 aesthetic medical professionals. In 2012 the organisation was restructured to reflect its aspiration of recognising aesthetic medicine as a specialty in its own right, committed to safety, standards, and the voice of its members.
