Doing some research using one or all of these strategies could give you some more information about the customer that could be useful. Were they referred by an existing client?; do they live in an affluent area; do you have similar hobbies to them; did you go to the same school as them, do you go to a restaurant near them?...all of this information, if used sensitively, can help to more quickly establish rapport and break the ice when you first meet them. Remember the potential lifetime value of each client and this could help you to put in that little ext ra effort to start your relationship.
