I said goodbye to dry, cracked heels in a week with <a href="http://www.consultingroom.com/treatments/neostrata-skincare" target="_self" title="Neostrata Skincare FAQs">Neostrata</a> Problem Dry Skin Cream in personal product trial.
When the summer months finally arrive many women (and some men!) reach for the flip flops and sandals; but when you have unsightly and sometimes painfully dry and cracked heels, the temptation is to run away and hide and not let your ‘little piggies’ see the light of day. 
I had just this problem and no amount of body butter application or pumicing my feet during ever shower and bath seemed to make the problem go away.

Part of the Targeted Treatment category within the NeoStrata professional skincare range, which is made up of products designed to complement or boost a daily skin care regime through an intensive treatment targeted at a specific concern,  Problem Dry Skin Cream (100g) is made of up of a 20% hydroxy acid blend, maltobionic acid and pro-vitamin E. These active ingredients are delivered in a highly emollient carrier of beeswax and skin conditioning oils which instantly reduces dryness and nourishes the treated area whilst the actives get to work.
This fragrance-free, rich cream contains a high level of hydroxy acids (glycolic acid, lactic ccid and mandelic acid) to exfoliate severely dry, rough and thickened skin such as that found on the heels, knees and elbows. The product is also ideal for those people with scaling and flaking associated with hyperkeratosis (abnormal thickening of the outer layer of the skin) such as with psoriasis, and keratosis pillaris (rough, bumpy skin resembling permanent ‘goose bumps’).
It also contains gluconolactone which has skin conditioning properties. The molecules within gluconolactone are naturally attracted to water, so when it is applied to the skin, the molecules draw moisture out of the air and allow it to be absorbed by the skin. This property means that gluconolactone helps to soften and soothe dry skin, replenish lost moisture and forms a barrier on the skin, preventing further moisture loss through evaporation. 
According to the manufacturers, significant improvement has been demonstrated in heavily calloused skin in as little as 3 weeks of once daily use of Neostrata Problem Dry Skin Cream. I would agree that this is a credible claim as I personally noticed a marked improvement in my moderately dry and cracked heels within a 1 week to 10 day  period, following application around the edge of my heels once a day.
