Suncare experts La Roche Posay have developed a new app to be used in the battle against Melanoma and to raise awareness of the damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays on the skin. <br />  <br />The app can be used to:</p> <ul> <li>Simply work out your recommended skin protection regime against harmful UV rays – based on your skin “profile" created in the app</li> <li>Find out daily information on UV warning levels</li> <li>Find out the latest weather forecast in the UK</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>This app also offers practical tips and advice, around ways to keep your skin protected and stay safe when outdoors in the UK. <br />  <br />Features of the UV Alert app include:</p> <ul> <li>Profile – to determine ”your skin” user profile, by answering simple questions to calculate your potential level of risk of skin damage and melanoma, specific to your skin type and condition</li> <li>Location-specific notifications to advise you when UV levels are high and remind you to apply and reapply sunscreen protection</li> <li>Share links that allow you to pass on UV alerts to friends and family</li> </ul>
