Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive fat removal procedure, often marketed as fat freezing. It is the cooling of subcutaneous fat cells, which induces lipolysis, the breaking down of the fat cells, without damaging any of the surrounding tissues or the skin. Cryolipolysis works to reduce fat in specific areas of the body and is most commonly used on the stomach and back. It was originally pioneered through a treatment known as CoolSculpting, which is a trademark of Zeltiq Aesthetics Ltd. Other similar treatments are available using devices such as CoolTech, LipoGlaze, 3D-lipo, LipoContrast and ProShock ICE. Cryolipolysis is not a permanent solution to fat loss; whilst it can reduce fat cells that are already present, it cannot prevent remaining fat cells from increasing in size so individuals will have to maintain their fat loss either through a combination of diet and exercise or further cryolipolysis procedures. There is hardly any recovery time or any side effects associated with cryolipolysis. Following the procedure, the fat breaks down over a period of two to four months, resulting in fat loss that appears entirely natural. Cryolipolysis costs will depend on the device used and the number of areas treated.

"Having suffered for 3 months with sever tennis elbow and seen 2 physios i was recommended to ReWork for some Cryo treatment. I was informed during my initial phone consultation with Jordan what the treatment entailed and what results i could expect from 1 treatment. He explained that some injuries will only need 1 treatment but more sever ones could need more. He also confirmed the price of each treatment. On arrival at the venue which is on 2 floors with the top floor being used as a tattoo studio and the basement area which looks very professional been split into treatment rooms.I liked the fact that Jordan was on reception waiting for me and immediately used my name. i was shown to the treatment room and had a very thorough consultation as to what the machine did and what the treatment would feel like. I have to say i was slightly skeptical but the results i got after 1 treatment were excellent. The elbow that was not as severe was pain free while my worst 1 was so much better. What i also liked was that Jordan showed me where the inflammation was and how the machines picked this up, the part of my arm where the pain was at its most severe was glowing red on the thermal camera but after the treatment was the same colour as the rest of my arm. "I did some research and thought that fat freezing would be the answer especially as I was too nervous to go under a general anaesthetic for liposuction. They were so friendly at Springwell Clinic and I wasn’t made to feel stupid for wanting it done. The treatment felt a little strange as it was very cold and pulled a little (which I was told to expect) but after 15 mins I couldn’t feel anything and it was very relaxing. I was made aware that I might not get the result in time for the wedding as I hadn’t left enough time but it was fine and the photo I took on my honeymoon in my bikini, shows the result. I’m so pleased but am thinking about another treatment to see if I can get an even better result.”
