Umbilicoplasty (navel or belly button surgery) is an operation involving making an “outie” belly button into an “innie”, or making an “innie” a little less obvious by lessening the size of the hole.
Do you have an innie or an outie? Some people have belly buttons that stick out - an outie - whilst others have a belly button which is hidden inside a hole - an innie. Wishing to change the orientation of your belly button, especially if the appearance has been changed due to childbirth or weight loss, is more common than you may think.
