Dr Carolyn Berry

Dr Carolyn Berry is the medical director of Firvale Clinic, she grew up in Belfast and studied medicine at Queens University Belfast.
She did her hospital training in the busy Belfast City Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital. After completing examinations in various disciplines including Care of the elderly, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, she successfully attained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and entered General Practice.
Dr Berry has always had a keen interest in research and teaching and worked in the Department of General Practice, Queens University, Belfast, as a research fellow. She has done a lot of undergraduate teaching and worked on significant public health documents.
Along side her NHS work, she has always had a keen interest in cosmetic treatments, initially training with Dr Patrick Bowler in Botox and then training in facial fillers and mesotherapy. At this time she wrote a weekly health and cosmetic treatment column for the Belfast Telegraph and had a private clinic in Belfast.
She moved to Southampton with her future husband in 2001 and has worked part time as a partner in general practice, but has always pursued her interest in cosmetic and aesthetic treatments.
Mr Nigel Horlock

Firvale Clinic is proud to announce that it has recently linked up with Mr Nigel Horlock one of the South`s foremost Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons. We are now able to offer advice and referral on the complete spectrum of Cosmetic Medicine giving you even more opportunity to make the best of yourself.
Mr. Nigel Horlock trained at St Marys Hospital, Paddington then worked at Nottingham for his general surgical training.He wrote his thesis while at Mount Vernon Hospital on the genetic abnormalities of skin cancers. Mr Horlock`s plastic surgical training was at Mount Vernon Hospital Northwood, Queen Victoria Hospital East Grinstead, The Royal Marsden and the Wellington Hospital.
His plastic surgery training was broad based in all aspects of burns, reconstructive surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery and cosmetic surgery. He now specialises in cosmetic surgery and recronstructive micro surgery of the face head and neck and breast.
Mr Horlock was an aesthetic fellow (Cosmetic) at the Wellington Hospital London and covered all aspects of aesthetic surgery. He also studied microsurgical breast reconstruction at the University of Ghent, Belgium and has further developed his skills in head and neck oncology and reconstruction at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
His NHS practice is based in the regional plastics unit at Salisbury District Hospital. He covers Salisbury, Southampton and Dorchester. He sees patients in his private practice at Southampton, Salisbury, Dorchester and Bournemouth.
Fiona Patel
Fiona originally trained as a Intensive Care nurse and now is our main Laser technician for the Cynosure Elite System and manages the laser suite. Fiona is also involved with the compliance and health and safety side of the Clinic.
Carol Smith
Carol is the company secretary and also our beauty and makeup advisor. She will guide you through your treatment and is able to answer most of your questions. Prior to working for the Clinic she was working for Dior as a make-up consultant for many years.
Carol runs the Make-up Makeover every Thursday and will always be happy to give you advice and information on the product range stocked by the clinic and how it can be used to its best effect.
